PC Interface for SSP3 Photometer
Description:
The idea is to count the number of pulses in a user specified period (0.1s, 1s or 10s). The count is then transmitted to the PC as four hexadecimal nibbles. The 2313 controller communicates to the PC on te RS-232 port at 9600, 8, N, 1. This circuit is primarily designed to interface the SSP3 astronomical interface to the PC for automated photometric data acquisition, but it can be used a counter in any other application. The counter can count frequencies upto 100 KHz.
